LL waist cone pulley flow meter is a kind of volumetric flow meters, used for measuring continuously the volumetric flow rate of liquids in pipes. The ordinary type comprises the measuring part and the reckoning, capable of indicating the cumulative through-flow locally. Combined with a photoelectric electrical impulse converter and a digital through-flow integrating instrument, this meter can be used for the remote measurement.
This meter uses the cone pulley accuracy regulators that have very outstanding pressure stability, and convenient and correct adjustment, and is characterized by excellent measurement accuracy, maximum reliability, great durability, slight vibration, and convenient maintenance, applicable to measuring precisely fluids with a high viscosity, especially crude oil, petroleum, and etc.
Operational principle:
When the measured liquid flows through the measuring chamber, a differential pressure will be produced between the outlet and inlet of the flow meter, which will push and then rotate the waist cone pulleys, meanwhile a pair of drive gears fixed at the cone pulley axles will also drive and rotate the two cone pulleys alternatively. Because the capacity of the measuring chamber is a fixed value, the flow rate is in direct proportion to the number of the rotations of waist cone pulleys and will be transmitted to the counter through the speed change gear with a certain transmission gear ratio, and the cumulative value provided by the counter will be the volumetric flow rate of the measured liquid during some time. The operational principle is only for the ordinary type.
